Lunar New Year Street Party 2027
The Chinatown Adelaide Lunar New Year Street Party is one of South Australia's major annual multicultural community celebrations, bringing together diverse communities to celebrate Chinese New Year through culture, food, music and entertainment.
In 2027, due to the Gouger Street Revitalisation works, the Street Party will temporarily relocate from its traditional home in the Chinatown and Gouger Street precinct to Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga.
This new location provides an exciting opportunity to present the celebration in one of Adelaide's most prominent civic spaces, while maintaining a strong connection with Chinatown and the Gouger Street precinct.
Guests can look forward to a full program of cultural performances, lion and dragon dances, food and market stalls, family activities and live entertainment throughout the day and into the evening.
