Car Parking

Although located in a residential street within the Adelaide Central Business District, the cottage has a Council Residential Parking Permit for Zone 9, opening up close onstreet parking opportunities. DOWNLOAD the Parking Map above.

The Permit offers Free parking after 6pm Monday to Friday and on weekends. The Map shows Oakley Street and surrounding streets the permit applies to.

Note, during daytime on weekdays between 8am and 6pm, normal parking time restrictions apply in Oakley Street, with 1hr and 2hr free park options available. View the street signs for exact details.

MANY BUSES go down Grote Street,
there are 2 Bus Stops close to Market Cottage:-

1) South Side Grote Street - city outbound
    X1 is close to Oakley Street
    walk south toward Gouger Street

2) North Side Grote Street - city inbound
    B2 is close to Oakley Street cross over
    Grote St, walk south toward Gouger St

You can get off the tram stop in Victoria Square and walk about 15 minutes down Grote Street, cross over Morphett Street and turn left into the 2nd Street (Oakley Street) to find Market Cottage.
